Bill was born in Pineville, MO, graduated from high school and began teaching at age 16. For the next 25 years, he attended summer school sessions in college, culminating with a Masters in Education in 1944 from the University of Missouri. His true vocation was fishing. We teased him that he only worked to support his fishing habit. The photos that follow document a few of his fishing expeditions.
