This morning the snow was clearly deep both in the front and back of our house.
I was not happy on my walk in the snow to do my daily duties. You can tell by my dainty paw prints, that I don't go any further than absolutely necessary. When I get back in, I get a snack and snuggle up on Marilyn's warm lap. She doesn't seem to mind, but when Busted also crowds his way on to her lap (he is SO jealous), she starts complaining.
At least the sun has come out; it could be still snowing which would have made my trip even worse. Our composter (the taller snow cone has more snow on it than our outdoor BBQ because it is a little more exposed. The overhanging eaves keep some of the snow off the deck and permits me a path to the end of the house where I can give mighty barks to scare away any marauders. That is an essential part of my job and I don't want to be a slacker, even in cold weather.
