This is a photo of Marilyn's little sewing nook. She has taken over the sun room on the east side of the house. Because the sliding door conducts a lot of cold air, she has covered it with a couple of long throws that can be moved aside as needed. She decided that this little 10' x 10' area was perfect for her sewing supplies and a cheerful place to work. She uses the throw as a “design board”. The quilt is a one patch (all of the pieces are 2 x 3–1/2”) sewed together in light/medium/dark patterns. She started the quilt in the shop in Arkansas where she met her friend Donna. It was one of the things that survived the floods. If Marilyn is lucky, it will be finished in her lifetime.
I'm not much into quilting. I found you need an opposable thumb, the one human trait I seem to lack.
Yesterday, we had some snow showers, but this is still a very warm winter. I'm glad as it makes my ventures outside much more comfortable.
