Yesterday Marilyn went to the knitting group at the Hopkins Activity Center. She met some very nice women who are knitting for good causes. They meet twice a month, so it will be a nice activity for her.
They knit lap quilts to give to a nursing home, caps for premies, children and adults, warm mittens and other items.
A special project is to make “Angel Gowns” for stillborn babies at Methodist Hospital.
Marilyn stuck to something simple that she knew how to make– a red stocking cap. She did meet some women who know how to knit socks. Maybe she can finally learn how to do that. She was pleased to get encouraging comments on my blog and a “how to” video site.
It snowed yesterday. Not a lot. I think there was more snow in Pineville than here. The world is still upside down.
