Around our house we are getting ready for Halloween trick-or-treating tomorrow night. We have been told that there will be lots of children at our door as this is regarded as a good safe and efficient area for children who want to collect a lot of loot. Today, we have to stock up on candy and get ready for guests.

Al read in this morning's paper that 20 years ago on another Monday morning in the Minneapolis area, a light, wet snow began falling, hours before prime trick-or-treat time. That was the great Halloween Blizzard. Here are some Storm Stats that happened during the next four days.
Most snow in a single storm: 28.4 inches.
Most snow in 24 hours (Oct, 31 – Nov.1): 21 inches.
Most snow on Oct 31: 8.2 inches.
Most snow in the month of October: 8.2 inches.
Most snow on Nov.1: 18.5 inches.
Needless to say, there was not much trick-or-treating on that Halloween night. (Similar to what is likely this year in the eastern part of the U.S.)
Right now the weather has been nice and no snow is predicted for this Monday night, but you never know!
