Marilyn was gone most of yesterday on a trip with cabin neighbor Marilyn Y. to a huge fabric store in Oklahoma. The photo below shows only a small part of the store. It was enormous, they said.

Marilyn Y. has bought a new home and needs draperies for lots of windows. The only practical thing to do is find the best price for lots of fabric. My Marilyn is sort of a fabric addict. She never sews anything for me, but once in a while she produces a quilt or a purse. Of course, she bought some fabric, too.
I did not get to go with her, neither did Al, Brutus and the Cats.
So, did we care?
Lucky

I forgot to say thanks for your kind words about the blog. We (especially Lucky) appreciate feedback. It is nice to know that we have readers out there in the real world.

It is about 2 miles south of Pryor on U.S. 69. Easy to find. The huge structures are clearly visible from the highway, the the address iw 4164 Main. Google Fabricut "Pryor, OK " for more information. I will tell you that as a quilter, there isn't a lot of fabric suitable for that. It is mostly upholstry weight or drapery weight. I don't recall seeing anything that was 100% cotton that I wanted to buy for my quilt stash. I did buy some heavier stuff as I make an occasional purse. My sewing room might rival your Mom's I am out of control. :-)

The store is called "Fabricuts" and it is on the south side of Pryor, OK. About 24 miles south of Vinita. It specializes in fabric for home dec or crafts and the prices are good. I saw one that was bout $20/yard in Rogers, but only $5.95/yard there. Also they sell bundles of samples (a scant 1/4 yard) about 20 to a bundle. Yesterday the $10 bundles were $5. Also good prices on tassels & cording. The staff is pleasant & accomodating. It was a nice place to shop.

Hi Lucky: Ask Marilyn for me: Where in Oklahoma was this HUGE Fabric Store? My daughter is into fabrics and crafts. If it's anywhere near where she lives, she will be excited. Thanks! Being born into a family hood of crafters, the only thing I have ever had patience for was latch-hook. I made a Christmas HO HO HO rug, and I was so proud of it!
