Good Intentions
Yesterday, Marilyn and Al left the cabin with the good intentions of running all the week’s errands in one day. That would be the green thing to do, saving gas and wear-and-tear on the car.
After getting gas in town and dropping off checks to pay for house inspection and lawn mowing, they were off to Anderson where they shopped for bird seed at The Feed Store & More. Next, they went to the Animal Hospital to get flea & tick medicine for the pets. Brutus has been literally tearing his hair out from itching. Evidently the cats brought some fleas into the house & they decided to stay. Then on to a favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch.
After that, things did not go as planned. The store they went to get gutter covers did not carry what they wanted, so a trip to another store will need to be planned for another day.
They were going to drop some used stuff at CrossLines to recycle but forgot and drove right by the place. Shopped for the week’s groceries at Wal-Mart but forgot several items that were on the list – too much in a hurry to get the shopping over with. Even though the Neosho Wal-Mart has been rearranged and has wider aisles, it was still an ordeal.
They finally got back to the cabin, unloaded the car and Marilyn put some icky stuff on my shoulder blades. She swore it would kill the fleas.
Other than that, your little black dog writer was smart enough to keep out of the way, they were not in a good mood.
